Vongrathayuth Hingphith

Education and Engagement Strategy Advisor

Vongrathayuth Hingphith is a Cambodian educator, researcher, and higher education leader dedicated to advancing inclusive curriculum and student leadership development. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Comparative and International Development Education at the University of Minnesota, Vongrathayuth’s work explores how education systems shape narratives of belonging, identity, success, and progress, particularly for marginalized communities and international learners.

With a deep commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy, his research critically examines curriculum and instruction across Southeast Asia, focusing on how issues of SOGIE inclusion, digital literacy, student mobilities, and cultural identity are integrated—or omitted—from national education agendas.

As a curriculum consultant and developer, Vongrathayuth designs transformative learning spaces that empower students to engage in reflective, equity-driven leadership practices. Beyond the classroom, he has led and advised youth leadership programs across the region, serving on boards and consulting roles with multiple nonprofit organizations.

Bridging academic inquiry with lived experience, Vongrathayuth brings a critical yet hopeful perspective to education that centers dignity, dialogue, and the diverse realities of all learners.
